Changing your email
You can’t change the email address of an existing Checkly user. Instead, you add a new user with the new email address and transfer your roles to it. The Email card on the Security page links to these steps.- Go to the members section of your account settings.
- Invite the user with the new email address to your account. That email address will receive an invite email.
- Sign up with the new email address by clicking the link in the invite email.
- Transfer any roles or permissions from the old user to the new user.
- Optionally, remove your “old” user from the account.
Changing your password
If you sign in with Google, GitHub, single sign-on (SSO) or Vercel, Checkly doesn’t manage your password. Change it with that provider instead, for example in your Google account, on GitHub, or with your organization’s identity provider. In that case the Password card shows who manages your password instead of a form.
- Go to Settings > User settings > Security.
- In the Password card, enter your new password in New password and Confirm new password.
- Click Change password.
- In the Auth0 sign-in window that opens, enter your current password, plus your MFA code if you use multi-factor authentication.
- Lowercase letters (a-z)
- Uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Special characters, for example
!@#$%^&*
If your reset password email never arrives, this may be because you originally logged in with Google or GitHub. If you need help accessing your account, please reach out to support@checklyhq.com.
